A new year means new events to look forward to in Falmouth!
2022 promises to be jam-packed with fun for all the family, with sailing events, live music, and food stalls to please even the fussy eaters. Here are some of the things we’re looking forward to.
Falmouth Spring Clean: March 2022
Falmouth Spring Clean days involve businesses and the community coming together to give our lovely seaside town a bit of TLC. Dozens of sites are to be given a colourful makeover in March. Beach cleans, litter picks, graffiti removal, shop-front cleans, green space revamps, you name it Falmouth is doing it, with the efforts bringing Falmouth’s proactive community together once again. Falmouth’s Sea Shanty Festival: 17th – 19th June
Head to the largest, free, nautical festival in Europe this summer! It was here in Falmouth that sailors filled the waterside alehouses with their songs and it is here that those shanties and stories are kept alive each year Keep an eye out for the pop-up bars and music stages that will appear throughout the town. Falmouth Week: 5th – 14th August
Falmouth Week is a major attraction for locals and visitors alike. You can expect family-friendly activities in the heart of Falmouth town on The Moor, featuring markets, food stalls, fairground rides, music and more.
Falmouth Oyster Festival: 12th – 16th October
The highlight of Falmouth’s Autumn calendar is back in October. The nationally recognised, award-winning Oyster festival celebrates the start of the oyster dredging season. There will be an oyster bar, a wide variety of seafood, wines and champagne, real ales and stouts, arts, crafts, food and drink halls, along with special demonstrations from renowned chefs.
